1968

City expansion led to the closure of the 8th Street Racing Oval, and the SSCRA began searching for a new site. The former track is now a residential area between McKercher Dr. & Moss Ave.

1970

Beginning in 1970, the SSCRA temporarily moved operations to the grandstand area at the current Prairieland Exhibition.

Farmer Bill Kusch offered the SSCRA 23 acres east of Saskatoon for $1 down and a 10-year payment plan. Members, including George Frey and Al Bakke, secured a loan by using their homes as collateral. The new track was named Bridge City Speedway.

1999

With the City of Saskatoon planning to annex Bridge City Speedway due to ongoing expansion, the SSCRA formed a Track Relocation Committee and began searching for a new site.

2004

The SSCRA purchased a 35-acre site in the RM of Corman Park, just north of Saskatoon, and began construction in April 2005.
